In line with the recommendations of the SemiconIndia Future Skills Talent Committee - constituted by MeitY and comprising representatives from the semiconductor industry, academia, and government to develop a roadmap for establishing "India as a Semiconductor Talent Nation" - the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) launched model curriculums for the following undergraduate, diploma, and minor programs on 18.02.2023, as a strategic step toward building a skilled talent pool in the semiconductor domain:
- B. Tech in Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology)
- Diploma in IC Manufacturing
- Minor Degree in Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology)
The model curriculums for these programs have been made available by AICTE and can be accessed at:

Institutions are encouraged to adopt these model curriculums, in accordance with the applicable norms of the institution.
